The Little Prince
A conceptual photo series about the child that lives in all of us. (2021–)
How often does a chance encounter on the street become a story worth telling?
We met by chance at artist Mr. Yip Yew Chong's live mural painting in Chinatown.
This chance event started a journey — following a boy named Akkun through Singapore.
I wanted to capture the little child that resides in all of us — Akkun's passion,
his childlike wonder towards everything. That child is worth embracing and keeping.
Mornings are hard for the little Prince.
Prince grabbed his hair and groaned.
The Prince gasped a frog leapt from a basin.
The Prince folded himself into Mr. Yip's paint.
The Prince practiced his roar before the tiger.
The Prince posed with quiet pride.
The Prince became part of the story—eaten for joy.
The Prince whispered, “I am bronze today,”.
The Prince seemed to bring the paper ducks to life.
The Prince’s quiet breath slowed the world.
The Prince drifted into sleep.
