Urban Moments in Singapore

Candid moments in public spaces across Singapore.

My street photos are akin to my reflex response to modern life. Everything today feels way too organised and optimised;
as such I am drawn to those random moments where that order breaks down.

I shoot based on gut instinct. For example, something that catches my eye — a colour, a coincidence,
two at first glance opposite/different things placed by chance that somehow fits together.
Many times, I press the shutter before I fully understand why.

I look beyond the simple visual coincidence and aim to find that deeper meaning.

To me, street photography is like 一期一会 — (Ichigo Ichie): those singular, fleeting moments which may never come again.
