I started this project with just the aim of heading out to the streets and capturing unique and out-of-the-blue moments flashing across my Lens. It was only with the passing of time and with retrospection that a pattern emerged. And this the title of this on-going project - City of Patterns.

It is intriguing how in Life, we are always on the look out to identify Patterns. There is something about patterns which is reassuring and that that it provides an emotional anchor. Patterns calms our anxious Minds and reassures us that Life is not as bad as our Minds make it out to be. It shall be okay at the end.

This series of Patterns in Tokyo and Singapore could also be a reflection of my inner urge to find Peace in Life; to actively seek stability and certainty amidst all the uncertainty in Life.
